Jenny Hewett
About Jenny
Jenny was born in Aitutaki, Cook Islands and raised in Tokoroa. She is a Pasifika midwifery representative for the Carosika Collaborative steering committee. As a midwife, Jenny has worked in the primary, secondary and tertiary aspects of midwifery and has had experience in both urban and rural areas.
Jenny is currently completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Pacific Health with Aniva Pacific Perspectives, and hopes to go on to complete a Masters in Pacific Health. She and her partner Fale moved from Auckland back to Tokoroa in 2017. They have three children, Reynor (29) Paris (20) and Samsara (11).
Steering Group
The Carosika Collaborative Steering Group is a transdisciplinary group of individuals passionate about preterm birth and achieving equity. The Group was established in 2020 and membership is by invitation aiming for inclusion of whānau and all other key stakeholder groups. The Steering Group provides direction, oversight, coordination and support to Carosika Collaborative initiatives and has been responsible for developing the Carosika Collaborative five-year Strategic Kete.
